Museum temporarily closed until further notice.
Folk museum (village life), housed in 18thC farmhouse and associated buildings. Period rooms of the 1880s, village crafts, local history, the farming year, all attractively presented. Occasional craft demonstrations. Plus Hornsea Pottery display.
Sandford award for heritage education 1987 Entrance through museum shop. Sorry no dogs except assistance dogs. 18th century farmhouse with barn and outbuildings. Victorian school room. Doctor's surgery. Childhood and toys display. Exhibition room. Hornsea Pottery with over 2000 items on display. The Whitedale building with a working model railway layout including Hornsea station and scale model fishing boats. Garden. No smoking on site.
Opening details
Monday to Saturday: 10am – 4pm
Sunday: 1pm – 4pm
Last entry is one hour before closing.
Special arrangements may be made for Group and School visits at other times.
