Beverley's North Bar Within and North Bar Without form one of the East Yorkshire's most treasured landmarks. These architecturally fascinating streets, divided by the 15th century North Bar, contain one of the greatest concentrations of listed buildings in the region. King Charles I and his 2 sons, stayed in North Bar House whilst trying to persuade John Hotham to surrender Kingston upon Hull during the English Civil War.

The Coronation Garden with its imposing iron gates is a tranquil gem.  Pop to Poma in St Marys Arcade for a huge selection of gelato ice cream flavours and sit and enjoy in this oasis of calm. 

Traffic is limited to single file through the bar arch and controlled by a set of lights.  On street parking is available.
