Sewerby Hall was one of the main filming sites for Dad's Army when the movie crew came to East Yorkshire in September and November 2014.
The Dad’s Army film proved a success at the box office when it went on general release in February and released on DVD and Blu-ray in June 2016, courtesy of Universal Pictures (UK)

The East Yorkshire coast met Hollywood recently when actors such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bill Nighty appeared in Bridlington Old Town, one of the main locations for the new feature film of Dad's army.
